ELLIE OLDFIELD
Ellie studied Performance Costume at Edinburgh College of Art before returning to London to begin her career. With 10 years of experience in the breakdown department, she has worked on films such as Napoleon and Cruella. Ellie possesses extensive knowledge in aging and screen printing processes and has a love for designing vibrant colour combinations.

REBECCA MCLEOD
Scottish-born Rebecca studied Performance Costume at the Edinburgh College of Art before relocating to London to launch her career. With over 10 years of experience in costume breakdown, she specialises in dyeing textiles to create palettes and depth that bring stories to life. Her recent projects include Slow Horses Seasons 3 and 4 (Apple TV), Ant-Man and The Wasp (Marvel), and dyeing for brands such as Alexander McQueen and Koter.

ABOUT

LUCY THAXTER
Lucy studied Costume with Performance Design at Bournemouth Arts University, where she began her career predominantly on set in the Costume Department. In 2021, she transitioned to textiles, discovering a passion for aging and character creation. Lucy has worked on notable shows such as Black Mirror, House of the Dragon Season 3 and Slow Horses Seasons 3 and 4.

CLAUDIA LAVELLE JOHNS
Originally from the North East, Claudia studied Performance Costume at Edinburgh College of Art. With 10 years experience in the costume department for film and television she specialised as a dyer and textile artist to bring projects to life, creating bespoke colour palettes and developing experimental techniques. Her recent works include Barbie, Wicked and the Fantastic Four (Marvel) and dyeing for brands such as Alexander McQueen, REISS and Victoria Beckham.

Colour Works Studio is a provider of textile services for the film, television, fashion, commercial, and theatre industries. Founded in 2023 by Rebecca McLeod, Ellie Oldfield, and Lucy Thaxter, with the addition of Claudia Lavelle Johns in 2025. The  studio is located in Harringay, London with our sister studio opening in 2025 in Margate by Ellie Oldfield.
